Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not a hater myself, but I know some people, and I’m sure you know some people, who undergo second semester senior year and leave with bitterness and a feeling that they could’ve done better, that the semester was a waste, that they weren’t any less busy, etc. etc.
I see something inherently wrong with these complaints, but it’s late. More on this tomorrow.
So, I’m done. DONE. FINIT. etc, etc.
A little less than two weeks ago I finished submitting my last college app – Yale. Talk about a euphoric experience, man. I am DONE with high school.
Oh and I got into the small private college on the East Coast that I applied too! Totally exciting!
You won’t believe the number of things I have planned for second semester. Oh, it’s going to be great. Abso-bloody-lutely fantastic.
Waiting for college app results is torture, even though there’s still a full month and a week to go and I’ve got other applications to occupy my time. Regardless, it’s a nailbiting experience. Some days I wake up thinking that my creds are good enough and that I’ll be able to get in. Other days, I wonder why any college, including the community college down the street, would ever bother accepting me. :(
On a different note, I aced my bio test last week, even though I didn’t study. If only this trend would continue for the rest of the school year :D
I sent in my MIT early application! It was a very euphoric experience. My fingers are crossed, but results don’t come out until…a while from now. Meanwhile, I’ve got many more colleges to apply to, several of which have applications which are more heinous than the MIT one. Oh dear.
On a different note, I’ve got two essays, a worksheet, a math problem set, and chapter notes to do, so I will be extremely busy for the next few hours. Clearly I’ve practiced procrastination to the max these past few days. Senior year wasn’t supposed to be like this! :)
Early applications are due tomorrow at midnight. Right now I’m working on finalizing everything. My fingers are crossed – hopefully they’ll give my application some consideration because (in my opinion) the interview last week went rather well. I’ll keep the reader(s) of this blog updated on the status of that :)
